Part 1:
Baby Blanket Crochet-Along: Week 1 – Square A
Edie Eckman
In the first class, we’ll focus on Square A, which is comprised of simple stitch combinations worked in rounds. Not only will you learn how to read a written crochet pattern and chart, but you’ll also learn how to switch colors and make sure you’re getting the right gauge. Once you’ve mastered this square, you’ll go on to crochet twelve more in exactly the same way.
Part 2:
Baby Blanket Crochet-Along: Week 2 – Square B
Edie Eckman
Now that you’ve tackled square A, it’s time to switch focus and learn how to crochet Square B. This square features a straightforward design, with alternating rounds of single crochet and double crochet. You’ll whip up twelve of these squares in no time, and then you’ll be ready to join them all together in the next class.
Part 3:
Baby Blanket Crochet-Along: Week 3 – Join the Squares
Edie Eckman
Once you have completed all twenty-five squares (thirteen of Square A and twelve of Square B), you’re ready to join your blocks together. Edie will show you how to expertly single crochet the edges of the blocks to make a gorgeous patchwork design. This is the exciting part – when your blanket starts to take shape.
Part 4:
Baby Blanket Crochet-Along: Week 4 – Add a Crocheted Edging
Edie Eckman
Your beautiful baby blanket is almost done! There’s just one more thing left to do – add a crocheted edging. This border will neaten up the edges and add the final finishing touch. Once you’ve completed this class, you will have learned all the skills you need to tackle any crocheted blanket project with confidence.
