After assembling the colored dough into layers, you'll roll up the dough, slice it into colorful pinwheels, and bake in the oven to create playful, vibrant multi-layered cookies. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 and 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 room temperature egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks of butter
- For Neapolitan cookies: 1/4 teaspoon Wilton Imitation Almond Extract, 1/2 teaspoon Wilton Imitation Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon strawberry extract, No taste red icing color, 3 oz or ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate
- For pinwheel cookies: Teal icing color and Orange icing color
- For watermelon cookies: Red icing color and Leaf green icing color, Black Sugar Pearls
- For 4th of July cookies: Red-Red icing colors and Royal Blue icing color, Red and Blue Colored Sugars, Jimmies 6-mix Sprinkle Assortment
