Author, illustrator, and maker Sanae Ishida not only shows you how to cut and sew your placemats and use fusible interfacing, but she also teaches you some basic pattern-drafting skills to create your own template. You can make a pointy-eared version and a round-eared version and play a guessing game as to what kind of animals they could be.
