She breaks down the age-old tradition of oil painting and makes it easy and accessible, from mixing colors, to playing with shadows and light, to the final varnish. Whether you're a curious beginner or seasoned painter, there will be tips and tricks in this crash course for everyone.
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Palette Paper
  • Enamel tray or palette
  • Bee Paper Sketchbook Super Deluxe Mixed Media
  • Oil paints in the following colors: Cadmium Red Light or Cadmium Red Medium, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow Light or Cadmium Yellow Medium, Ultramarine Blue or Cobalt Blue, Burnt Umber, Viridian or Phthalo Green, Titanium White
  • Palette knife
  • Gamsol
  • Glass cup or jar with an airtight lid for traveling
  • A selection of brushes including no. 2 round synthetic and no. 8 filbert synthetic
  • Tupperware
  • Vegetable oil to clean brushes
  • Paper towels
  • Wood panel or gesso board
  • Mediums such as walnut oil, linseed oil, stand oil, or liquin
  • Gamvar gloss varnish
  • Gesso
  • Optional supplies: 1" craft brush, sand paper, carbon transfer paper
