Join artist Robert Mahar and Courtney Cerruti in transforming a quartet of vintage black and white photographs with haunting embroidery embellishments. Instruction will guide you through best practices for stitching on paper, including the transfer of imagery and patterns, and clever finishing techniques. The resulting pieces can be displayed as spooky seasonal decor or year round wall art for those whose tastes lean towards the charmingly macabre. This conversation was recorded live October 16, 2024.

Love the idea of taking photocopies of family photos and enhancing with stitch. Also the addition of words. Thanks for the inspiration.
