Crochet is an endlessly versatile technique for making hats, scarves and sweaters, not to mention sculpture and rugs. And all you need is some yarn and a crochet hook. In this workshop Cal will explain and demonstrate the foundation crochet stitches and finishing off. You can create reference swatches of each stitch, or alternate them to create a stitch sampler.

Materials:
- Yarn (should be smooth, preferably wool in a light or bright color in either worsted or bulky size).
- Crochet hook (size G/6 (4.00mm) or H /8 (5.00mm) for worsted, J/10 (6.00mm) or K/10.5 (6.5mm) for bulky)

The only suggestion I would make is that she stops showing us a new stitch in the middle of a piece. PLEASE start brand new, with each new stitch. I struggle so much to go from my chain stitch to the new stitch. I usually lose a stitch in that transition and can't figure out how.
