Artist trading cards are miniature works of arts, created on standard-sized cards and exchanged among artists all over the world. They can be collaged, stamped, stitched, painted or doodled. Explore the possibilities of the small canvas with Courtney, who will teach you a range of techniques for different effects. This workshop is for anyone who needs a little help starting their creative flow, or for the seasoned artist who wants to trade and collect one of a kind art from around the world.
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • 3.5" x 2.5" cards
  • Pens
  • Paint
  • Scissors
  • Collage materials
  • Glue stick or other adhesive
  • Assorted collage materials such as scrap or found paper, mementos, stamps, old books or dictionaries
  • Washi tape (optional)
  • Pastel chalk (optional)
  • Rubber stamps and ink (optional)

Once again, Courtney inspires. I tend to look to her shorter "vignettes" when I just need something to remind me that it doesn't have to be complex or hard to create something fun and finished. My mind is already buzzing with ideas!
