What you'll get:
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Copy paper, text-weight up to 28lb.
- 18" x 24" drawing paper - Faith is using three sheets of Strathmore 400
- Cardstock in a few colors
- Decorative paper
- Book binder’s board, .067 or .082" thick
- 12" x 18" of book cloth OR materials to DIY: fat quarter of lightweight cotton or linen fabric, Heat 'n Bond adhesive, tissue paper, iron and ironing surface
- X-Acto or craft knife
- Cutting mat
- Pin tool or awl
- Bone folder - Faith loves her Teflon one but plastic and bone work well
- Bookbinding needle or embroidery needle
- Waxed linen thread, 5-ply - Faith is using three colors
- Unbleached linen thread, 2-ply
- PVA glue and brush, Elmer's extra-strength glue stick or Scotch permanent glue stick
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Parchment or waxed paper
- Covered brick, or heavy books of equivalent weight
- 12" and 18” metal ruler
- Right angle ruler and/or small plastic triangle
- 20” length of 1/8" ribbon
- Scratch paper
- 2 to 4 Bulldog or binder clips
- Sandpaper (optional)
