Julie Mancil
I'm a retired Elementary Teacher. My husband, Steve and I have one daughter who is married, and they have four children...two boys and two girls.
I grew up on a farm in Oregon. My mom taught me how to cook, sew, and knit. My grandma taught me to crochet the chain stitch, but I decided that I liked knitting better. Grandma also taught me how to embroider. A couple of years ago, I started crocheting by watching videos and have decided that I like to crochet better than knitting. I would like to learn more about crochet. I also like to do plastic canvas and cross-stitch. I like to cross-stitch Bible verses with a picture that goes with the verse. I'm also a Christian fiction writer and have published one children's book. Since I wrote this bio a few years ago, I've learned to crochet graphigan's, which are really fun to do. I made a cross picture for my niece for her birthday. I, also, make amigurumi figures.
