Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls
Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls is an artist, calligrapher and designer from Hawaii, who currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. She finds beauty in imperfection and draws her inspiration from 19th century Botanical engravings, alphabet specimens and hand painted signs.
She is best known for her distinct calligraphy style that can be found in numerous magazines including Sunset, Victoria, Better Homes and Gardens, Brides, and on the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings. Blogs that have featured her work include Besotted, Brooklyn Bride, Design*Sponge, Oh Happy Day, Snippet & Ink, Sunday Suppers and Style Me Pretty.
Maybelle teaches her workshops in the following cities: Boston, Brisbane, Honolulu, Los Angeles Melbourne New York, Portland, San Francisco, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. She has designed a calligraphy set titled "Belle Calligraphy" with Chronicle Books scheduled to be released in the fall of 2015.
