Would I recommend this class to a friend? It depends! I love the idea of this class, but it needs improvement. There are measurements not taken during the measurement "chapter" (thigh) that are then needed when drafting the pattern. The thigh and rise are brushed over and this causes confusion (and for me wasted fabric - even if it was a muslin). Ultimately, I figured it out by consulting a Nancy Zieman book I had on hand. An easy way to check if your rise is correct is to lay your tape measure on its edge on the crotch lines. Add front to back. Now, is that the same as the distance from your front to back waist measured giving you the crotch fit (ease) that feels right? Then you are good to go. But I shouldn't have to consult another source - right?
I am an advanced beginner. I'm sure that folks who already know how to make fitting changes to patterns will have no problems. But others might find the information lacking.
As an FYI, following the video directions, the completed leggings (made with a fabric with good all-way stretch) came out very skinny fitting - think pantyhose. So, you might want to consider adding in more ease for more of a legging vs. pantyhose fit.

Cal is most excellent at explaining techniques and options in a clear, succinct and calm way. She makes it seem very doable! I'm almost finished with my second pair of leggings and the fit is spot on and they are super comfortable! I'm so pleased!
