Perfect for layering, it has a roomy, relaxed fit with low armholes and a tie closure. In this class, Mimi shows you how to sew the Nomad Vest with denim and a sherpa lining. Bias-bound edges allow for working witih two layers of heavier weight fabrics, and Mimi shows you everything you need to know about working with bias tape for a beautifully finished garment. Wear your vest over a chunky knit, a flannel shirt, or anything you'd reach for on a cold morning.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Fabric :

1 ¼” yards (1.60 meters) of heavy-weight outer or self fabric
1 ¼ yards (1.60 meters) of lining - pre-wash all fabrics before cutting
0.5” wide (13mm) double folded binding - 6.75 yards (6.20 meters) - 7.75 yards (7.10 meters) - depending on size and if adding tie closure
preferably one continuous length.
