How to Attach Binding Tape

Loved the "flip the flap" technique and the blind stitch. The one thing I would say is if you intend to use a 1/4" seam allowance when attaching the two ends of the binding strip together, make sure you cut 1/2" away from the line you marked rather than a bit over 1/4". You'll notice she used closer to a 1/8" seam allowance to accommodate, which I suppose would be fine too. If you cut 1/4" away and use a 1/4" seam allowance, your tape will be too short since two pieces of fabric are sewn with a 1/4" seam allowance, which cuts off 1/2". Hope this helps!

I’m going to watch again and again when I bind my quilts. Great guidance!

I was taught a different way but I want to try this one because I love how neat the corners look.

Thank you for explaining this to me! I have my first cheater quilt ready to put together and I've been waiting because I'm not quite sure how I want to approach it. Now I know! Thank you, Penny.
