Creativity doesn’t always respond to force or effort. Sometimes it needs space. The breath is one of the simplest and most powerful tools we have for calming the nervous system, quieting mental chatter, and softening the grip of the analytical mind. By creating a sense of safety and ease in the body, we can become more receptive to curiosity, intuition, and the kind of right-brain thinking where imagination, insight, and creative flow emerge more naturally. In this session, artist and educator Shae Freeman explores a few simple breathing practices designed to help open that door. This class was originally filmed live September 16, 2026.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Micron or favorite fineliner - Shae uses an 03
- Any drawing mediums you love in favorite colors (crayons, markers, graphite, paint sticks, etc)
- Flat lay sketchbook or favorite loose paper
