Patchwork Improv: Exploring Angles
Really cool tips and tricks and at a good pace. Wish I could watch this video about 3 more times!
Love watching and listening to Sherri Lynn work through her improv piecing.
interesting way to approach fabric. freeing. will be trying this for sure.
What worked for me was that Sherri walked her talk, so to speak. She taught the class organically, as she is teaching us to create design organically. Often teachers use premade samples to instruct the lessons, but improv doesn't really lend itself to that method. Sherri has lots of experience with improv, and still showed us how the learning never ends. I appreciate her relaxed approach to improv and her natural encouragement for her participants. I also appreciated how our palettes aren't really in sync (I wouldn't make the color choices she did) yet nothing was lost. It was just inconsequential, and didn't interfere with my learning at all. Really enjoyed this class.
