Give your living room a fun makeover with these hand-painted canvas pillowcases. Inspired by the classic, colorful stripes of Hudson Bay Blankets, you will use primary colors to paint stripes on your fabric. Then, follow along as Courtney demonstrates how to sew and assemble this simple pillowcase.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- 16” square pillow insert
- 1 ½ yards natural-colored canvas (cut to 18” x 34 ½” for a 16” pillow)
- Primary-colored acrylic craft paints or fabric paints
- Palette for paints
- Paintbrushes (one for each paint color)
- Marking chalk or pencil
- Scissors
- Sewing pins
- Painter’s tape
- Four 12” lengths of ribbon
- Large ruler
- Snips
- Sewing machine
- Light-colored thread
- Iron
- Ironing surface
