Also wondering if there are any powdered natural (as in non-chemical) dyes that could be used?

She said she got her dye from Dharma Trading and it looked like Procion MX dye, but she left out the sada ash. She also said you could use dye from the grocery store, but that is usually Rit which requires heat to set.
