Knit edgings will customize and elevate your knit creations. Kristin teaches you several edging styles that aren’t very hard but add so much to your work. She’ll start with a simple garter stitch edge with different colors, then move onto a whimsical bobbled edge, a soft sculpted edge and a rolled edge.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Striped Garter:
  • 4 colors or yarn
  • Size US 5 straight needles (or two sizes smaller than your main knitting size)
  • Scissors
Bobbled Edging:
  • 1 color yarn
  • Size US 7 needles

Sculpted Edge:
  • 1 color yarn
  • Size US 7 straight needles

Corrugated Edge:
  • Three colors of yarn
  • Size US 7 needles

I learned some new edging techniques. My only problem was I found the continental knitting distracting. It would be nice if a hat pattern accompanied the edging, too. All in all, enjoyed the class.
