Excellent tutorial. Full of technical detail and at the same time offering useful tips for fixing and accepting inevitable mistakes. I’ve been afraid of trying Fair Aisle before but now on way to dig out a few skeins of worsted and give it a try. Thank you !

I enjoy seeing the hat on a person before I start a project. It gives me confidence that it will fit.

I learned a lot of new techniques and tips and Kristin is a great teacher. I'm an intermediate knitter and found that the level of new information was at the right level - great explanations of the new more advanced techniques while not spending too much time on absolute basics.

The pattern runs really small (no, I didn’t knit too tightly!). I suggest using the S/M as a child’s size and M/L as a small adult. Don’t use this pattern if you have a large head!

I’ve been knitting for 50 years and just learned some great techniques for working a fair isle pattern:
1. How to carry the second color yarn so there’s no puckering of the fabric.
2. A new way to cast on and keep the edge loose.
3. A better way to increase stitches.
Thanks! You kept me engaged throughout.
Great teacher!
