Hand quilting a wholecloth quilt enlivens the surface and adds beautiful texture to the front and back of your quilt. Anna Maria shows the entire process of creating a baby quilt, from laying out and basting, then highlighting the design of a printed fabric with even stitching, and finally binding the quilt with single fold bias binding. Anna Maria also shows gorgeous examples of how this technique can be applied to pillows and clothing.

- 1¾ yards cotton voile (Anna Maria uses Free Spirit designer voile solids in Water)
- One package of crib size cotton/bamboo blend quilt batting
- Hand quilting needles
- Hand quilting hoop (Anna Maria uses a large q-snap frame)
- Three yards of single-fold binding
- Six coordinating colors of size 8 Pearle cotton
- Hand embroidery needle
- Hand darning needle
- Sewing thread for darning
- Curved or quilting safety pins
- Fabric scissors
- Bandaids
- Quilting ruler
- Sewing machine and coordinating 100% cotton thread
