Here’s what you’ll need:
- Half hide of 1-2oz pebble veg tanned leather - Treasure is using the color Natural
- 1/2 yard cotton lining
- 1/2 yard iron-on fusible fleece interfacing (Pellon 987 or 971)
- Pre-cut leather strap 3/4" inch x 50”
- 6mm leather cording
Hardware:
- 2 pieces - 1/2" Chicago screws
- 1 piece - 1/4" Chicago screw
- 2 pieces - 3/4" D-rings
- 1pc - 7.5mm x 10mm Ball & Post
- 12 pieces - 5/16" grommets
Tools/Supplies:
- Grommet setter
- Revolving Punch (also known as Rotary Leather Punch) or 3.5mm or 4.0mm leather hole punch
- 6.0 button hole punch,
- 3/4" round end punch
- Pound board or thick wood block - Treasure's set-up is 3 layers purchased separately: a poly cutting board, quartz or marble slab
- Mallet
- Multi-strap round end strap tracer by Craft Tool
- Fiskars rotary cutter & cutting mat
- Ruler
- Pen or pencil
- Sewing machine with leather needle & coordinating polyester (strong hold) thread
- Iron and ironing surface
- 1/4" double-sided tape for leather
- Edge Kote - Treasure is using the color Terra
- Wool daubers or edge dye roller
- Brass clips
Leather can be purchased at WeaverLeatherSupply.com, Wickett-Craig.com, and RMLeatherSupply.com. Alternatively, you can use faux leather/polyurethane(PU) or vegan leather.

I like the instructor took her time and did not rush. This was a great tutorial. I would have like to see how to scale the bag bigger as an option either at the end or when discussing materials.
