This adorable handbag is the ultimate personalized accessory. Printmaker and surface designer, Jen Hewett, shows you how to create simple stamps and print custom fabric. Here’s what you’ll need:

For fabric stamping:

2 pieces prewashed medium-weight fabric cut to 13” x 19” (Jen uses linen or linen-cotton blend)
Fabric paint in 2 colors
Super Glue
2 small paint rollers
Inking plate or other non-porous surface
2 pieces 4” x 6” soft rubber stamp material, for carving
4 wood blocks, approximately 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Utility blade
Cutting mat
Quilt batting at least 13” x 19”, for a cushioned printing surface
Quilting ruler
Pencil
For sewing:
2 leather straps, each 25” x ½” (or sized to your preference)
8 rivets with caps (9mm or 10mm)
Hammer
Leather hole punch
Sewing machine
Iron
Ironing surface
Thread
